About Anna

Originally from Martha's Vineyard, Anna Walton is a visual mixed media artist based out of New Orleans whose works utilize materials such as wood, paint, textiles, and the Mardi Gras beads that she collects during Carnival season at her apartment on the uptown parade route.

Anna is also known as Ms. Walton to a few hundred students at an uptown New Orleans grade school, where she teaches 4th grade in addition to leading the school orchestra and giving private cello & violin lessons.  When she's not in front of a class or making Mardi Gras bead art happen, you'll find her playing her cello*, coming up with her next Mardi Gras costume, and/or enjoying a nice glass of wine on the porch.

*She played cello with James Taylor once. If you meet her, you should really ask her the story.
